Coffee Party, Tea Party or Hard Liquor Party

Today's Top News

President Obama is going to be on Mythbusters.  And from what I can tell boys and girls this will have nothing to do with his where he was born! :oP

Today's Cartoon

I found this cartoon today. Did you know that there is a Coffee Party?  This is apparently the liberal version of the Tea Party. I got curious so I looked them up and found their mission statement.

The Coffee Party Movement gives voice to Americans who want to see cooperation in government. We recognize that the federal government is not the enemy of the people, but the expression of our collective will, and that we must participate in the democratic process in order to address the challenges that we face as Americans. As voters and grassroots volunteers, we will support leaders who work toward positive solutions, and hold accountable those who obstruct them.
I don't know about you but that says a whole bunch of nothing to me.  Looks like it was written by a politician.  I guess they didn't want to say that they are for bigger government spending? or higher taxes? I mean if they did come right out and say that who would want to be a part of that?

Maybe I could start a Hard Liquor Party?  Where we go to bars and find candidates to run for office.  It couldn't make it too much worse than it is now and they'd be so liquored up they might just tell the truth.  Can't you just see it?  Some guy or gal stumbling up to the podium, slurring out their plan for America? Being real with the folks and just flat out say we're pretty much screwed.  And you know how some women that drink just can't keep their tops on? She's telling her plan for lowering taxes, especially those sin taxes on alcohol, and then she whips her top off.  Tell me that wouldn't make for a more interesting political arena?

Today's Confession

I have a confession to make.  I know I'm always dogging the Farmville and Farm Town addicts but I have to admit that I play way too much Bejeweled Blitz.  It's so addicting and it sucks up a good part of my day one minute at a time.  I go there promising myself only to play five minutes which equals about five games which turns into about an hour.  I find that I'm not alone though as there are fanpages and groups on Facebook  here is just one of many.
